HISTORY

I started in the lawn maintenance industry in 1979. At that time, I had very limited knowledge of how to calculate a fair and profitable price for my services. Pricing at whatever the market would bear and or matching competitors pricing seemed not only a poor method to operate a business, but a sure bet to overlook whatever profit potential existed. Seeking answers to this dilemma proved to be an excercise in futility. Seemingly successful operators were reluctant or unwilling to share information regarding bidding, cost calculations, contracts and other areas of concern. Too many times, the contractors that you may be seeking advice from have no idea themselves "WHY THEY CHARGE WHAT THEY CHARGE."

I have a bidding system that is accurate, dependable, easily understandable and PROFITABLE. The frustrations that I experienced personally provided the impetus and the desire to make available a professional training system that would provide guidelines and proven methods to run a successful business. Unfortunatley, many times Contractors Don't Know What They Don't Know.

His vast knowledge and experience in marketing, sales, training and product seminars are priceless. His responsibilities included traveling several states cold calling accounts, servicing existing dealers and setting up new dealers for their equipment. In 1987, Corky went to work full time in the lawn & landscape industry with Wayne. Corky understands the difficulties facing this industry as they relate to bidding, selling, crew management, and administration. The key to success in this industry is not working hard. I started my lawn & landscape business in 1979 with a push mower, an electric weed eater and an attitude. I thought I knew everything I needed to know about cutting grass & landscaping. After graduating from college in 1983, I secured a “real” job until June of 1987. In June of 1987, I resigned that position and went to work fulltime in my lawn & landscape business. After years of trial and error bidding, and the loss of thousands of dollars, I developed a bidding process that is simple, accurate and professional. I knew there were many contractors that would benefit from this same information. Too many times, working hard is not the only answer. Thus, Profits Unlimited began in 1990 to assist lawn & landscape professionals with bidding, contracts, marketing and professional selling. Kyle Volz has years of experience in the lawn industry. His background includes all aspects of operating a full service lawn and landscape service including landscaping, mowing, power seeding, chemical applications and snow and ice management.
Kyle's experience includes selling these services, crew supervisor, customer relations, marketing, and advertising. He also participates in Profits Unlimited seminars and consulting. Kyle explains to potential clients how they would profit by using our manuals, CD's and consulting services. He can explain how consulting service would have a positive impact on your bottom line.
